About me
As a former news photographer with 11 years in broadcasting, I now work as a videographer and editor for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I'm also UTC's certified drone pilot, holding a Part 107 certification since August 2024.
My career includes covering major events like hurricanes and presidential visits. I also have freelanced for clients such as UTC MocsVision, Tupelo Honey Productions, and the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame. I'm open to freelance opportunities, especially in televised sports. I can also take on freelance shooting and editing projects, like event coverage and other related topics I'm based in Chattanooga but willing to travel
I craft videos and expertly tell stories through dynamic visuals.
PROFESSIONAL GOALS
I was born and raised in Red Bank, TN—a small town just outside Chattanooga. I first developed a love for media and production when I was 12, which is when I fell in love with radio. I began my career working for a local radio station at 16 and have since taken almost every opportunity that’s come my way. I received my Associate of Applied Science in Digital Media and Design from Chattanooga State Community College in 2017. Currently, I’m working toward completing my Bachelor’s in Mass Communications at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Between my two college experiences, I worked for three network-affiliated television stations, where I learned to be an efficient and effective storyteller. I found that the best stories are human-centered and community-driven. Strong production takes planning, dedication, and a willingness to go the extra mile. I bring that same commitment to every project, no matter the audience.
My ultimate dream job would be to work as a features videographer and editor for PBS or maybe a freelance Documentary filmmaker. Of course, that remains a dream—for now. I’m currently employed at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga as the Marketing and Communications videographer and editor, where my job is to tell the story of our university through video. I hope to continue in this role for as long as possible, and perhaps move into a supervisory position one day.
I love editing video and whether it is at UTC or GBP in Atlanta and I am proud to make it my career.
